Actress Lara Dutta was last seen in ‘Billu Barber’ in a de-glam avatar. She is now set to add the oomph factor in the forthcoming ‘Blue’ with her bikini avatar. ‘Blue’ is apparently Bollywood’s first underwater film and perhaps the most expensive one too. Film’s director Anthony D’Souza has used latest techniques to give it an international look. The music of the film is given by none other than music maestro AR Rahman. Shot in Bahamas, the movie also stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan, Katrina Kaif and Rahul Dev who will be seen swimming, diving and escaping predatory sharks.

Akshay’s character is called Aarav which is his son’s name in real life. Sanjay Dutt plays the role of a fisherman, who also happens to be Akshay’s friend.

It has been one year of marriage for actor as well as politician Sanjay Dutt with wife Manyata Dutt. Both Sanjay and Manyata on this occasion hosted a party which was attended by celebrities both from Bollywood as well as politics. The most renowned personalities from the glamour as well politics presented at the party, were, Abhishek Bachchan and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh who greeted the happy couple on their anniversary. Sanjay Dutt enters politics

It was a surprise announcement from Samajwadi Party on Thursday when it came out that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt would be its candidate from Lucknow for the Lok Sabha elections “subject to clearance by the Supreme Court and the Election Commission.” Mr. Dutt, who had been sentenced by the High Court under the Arms Act, would be the party’s star campaigner in the elections.

Announcing the party’s first list of 29 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections after a meeting of the Central Parliamentary Board here on Thursday, party general secretary Amar Singh said, “Like a BJP MP, who is a known cricketer, was allowed to contest despite being convicted, we too will try our best to field Sanjay Dutt. If we fail, he will certainly be our star campaigner.”

He also claimed that Sanjay Dutt had agreed to contest. “Dutt told me you are like my elder brother. He said he would do anything I ask him to though he said he was not a political person,” Singh said.

Mr. Singh also said that recently the United Nations made him their global ambassador on malnutrition. “Since we are an ally of the Congress and Sanjay’s sister Priya is a Congress MP, we hope the party would be happy.”

Says Dabboo about his work, “I have not restricted myself to any dramatic theme for 2009. Some are in black and white, some are in reds while the rest are in vivid colors,” says Dabboo who begins work on his annual ritual in September every year. “Initially, I used to collect snaps of the stars I had shot and put them together for the calendar. But later, I began shooting them exclusively for it.”

Sanjay Dutt voluntarily reduces his price

Sanjay Dutt has taken a considerate step towards scaling down of rising star prices in Bollywood at a crucial time with crippling recession, plus the big terror blow that Mumbai suffered on 26/11. Sanjay, who had recently increased his remuneration by a good 60 percent to Rs.15 crore (Rs.150 million) has realized that there is no wisdom in unnecessarily charging a prohibitive fee that brings projects down even before they hits the theatres.

“After the attack on Mumbai, people have cut down drastically on their visits to shopping malls and movie theatres. So the situation has got even worse. We in the film industry are part of one big family and we’ve to make our family survive this worst-ever crisis,” Sanjay said

Sanjay Dutt Productions CEO Dharam Oberoi said, “He thought it would be unfair to hike his prices at a time when the industry is struggling with recession.”

Sanjay is currently shooting for Rahul Dholakia’s Lamhaa. Oberoi said the prices would be effective on films that he signs in 2009.

Two more tattoos for Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt already has a lion tattoo on his forearm. Now, he is in for two more tattoos- another lion on his chest and the word “honour” in Japanese on his arm.

“The actor wanted another lion tattoo, but since he already has one, this one had to be different. We sat together and finally settled for one big lion design … it’s going to be a coloured one. Apart from this, the actor is also getting the word ‘honour’ in Japanese on his arm. This one will be short and simple,” tattoo artist Vishwas Dorwekar of Hakim Aalim’s saloon revealed.

Sanju Baba will also get his forearm lion tattoo modified. To be known here that Dorwekar is the man behind Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Kareena’ tattoo that attracted much media attention.

Describing tattoo making as a ‘tickling art’, the artist said: “The process is best described as a tickling art because when the machine touches your body, it gives a ticklish feeling.”

Sanjay Dutt - Mixing work with fun in ‘Blue’

Marriage with Manyata has made Sanjay more of a free bird and he is on a joy ride now, so much so that the actor opted to do his own underwater stunts in Bangkok for his forthcoming ‘Blue’ inspite of a warning from the doctors not to do scuba diving because of his lung condition.

‘Blue’ is mostly shot underwater and as the crew is in Bangkok now, Sanjay Dutt has tried out an innovative way to mix work with pleasure. Reports have it that Dutt has hired a 40-foot luxury boat and has invited all his friends from Los Angeles to Mumbai to chill out with him, including ‘Blue’ co-star Zayed Khan and Sanju’s good friend Apoorva Lakhia . Not to mention the blast the gang is having. They go deep-sea diving, snorkeling, and have barbeque, drinks and music on board.
