Party time for ‘Ghajini’ team
The long and hard work from the team of perfectionist Khan has finally paid off and ‘Ghajini’ has broken all records by becoming the only Indian film to earn one billion rupees at the box office across the country in less than a week of its release on Christmas. Apart from this, the film has fared very well in the overseas market as well with a gross of US four million dollars in the same week. Not to mention, it called for a grand party and celebration.
So, it was party time for cast and crew of ‘Ghajini’ as they celebrated the huge success of their film in Mumbai. A cake was cut by Aamir with figures of the collection topping it.
Aamir Khan was more than happy at this success and said, “I'’m very happy and thankful that the film is being appreciated by the audience so much. The hard work put in by the entire team is being appreciated by the people.”
Asin, who has done many films in South and makes her debut in Bollywood with this film expressed her delight at the film’s success and thanked the audience for appreciating her performance. “I don’t come with baggage or expectations. I just focus on my work. I thank you all for the love you have given,” said Asin.
Super-hot Jiah Khan on ‘Maxim’ cover
Speaking about getting Jiah on board for this exclusive photo shoot, Anup Kutty-Editor, Maxim India, says “We had been getting too many requests from our readers to get Jiah khan to do a Maxim shoot. I am usually portrayed as sexy, but actually I consider myself just a regular girl. The photographer R. Burman made me very comfortable at the time of the shoot. I feel the photo shoot has helped me discover the best out of myself.”
To be known here that Jiah Khan is the only Indian actor, who has become the face of the UNICEF in their fight against child abuse, twice. While the gal waits with baited breath for ‘Ghajini’ to go into audience’s court, this photoshoot is definitely going to make her fans ask for more of Jiah!
Aamir makes Jiah cry
While some Khans are fighting amongst themselves, some Khans are making each other cry, like Aamir Khan making Jiah Khan cry for all the right reason.
Jiah Khan who stars in Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan remembers the moment when she got selected for the movie, she was all nervous for the audition and eventually when she got selected she broke down into tears.
She says, “When Aamir and Murugadoss told me I was in, I could not believe it! I was in tears! I broke down completely. I was overwhelmed! I was so happy that tears automatically welled up my eyes and began rolling down my cheeks.”
Jiah also reveals that she cherishes the moment when Aamir praised her in front of her mother.
She says, “Aamir told my mother that if I was a part of Ghajini it was because of my own achievement and talent. It was the best compliment I have received that too from the best actor of the country–Aamir Khan. What more could I ask for.”
Jiah is awaiting the release of Ghajini.
